  • Taylor of Old Bond Street was founded in 1854, the Taylor tradition has always been to manufacture products with as pure and natural materials as is practicable. There has never been any material, natural or synthetic, found that is an improvement over the natural badger hair brush. The badger has been designed by nature to hold water at the tips of its bristles, thus keeping the body of the badger dry and warm. Therefore, since shaving demands a brush that retains both water and heat, you cannot get any better material than badger for a shaving brush. The Shaving brush should be dipped into hot water and shaken so that the brush is wet but not saturated when placed onto the shave soap or cream. The brush cleanses the face and softens the facial hair in preparation for a stress free, close shave. A good lather is obtained using a circular motion on the face without too much pressure.
